🚀 Jonas Hawk’s Greeter Training
New captains arriving at Starbase-51 now get a proper hand from Jonas Hawk’s Greeter Training — a friendly on-screen guide that walks you through your very first steps, one tick-box at a time. As you take each of Jonas’s eight starter missions, a small movable panel breaks the task into clear, bite-sized steps — fit your mining laser, fly to an asteroid field, mine your ore, deposit at the Commercial Store, refine it, deploy a drone or a planetary harvester, hand in your mission — and ticks each one off the very moment you do it.
It points you at the exact buttons to click, shows you the right icons to look for in the Navigation Console, and even watches for the little things new pilots trip over (an unfitted laser, a full cargo hold, mining in the wrong field). It is there to get you flying with confidence, and it quietly bows out once you have finished the chain. Brand new to Forged Space? Just follow the green ticks.
Completing Jonas Hawk’s Greeter missions now pays out 150 FSP each — that is up to 1,200 Forged Space Points across the full eight-mission chain, on top of the usual credits and experience. And we have not forgotten anyone who came before: every captain who has already completed any of Jonas’s missions has just been credited 150 FSP for each one, retroactively. There is nothing to claim — it is already sitting in your balance. If you have not run the Greeter chain yet, now is a great time to: it is the gentlest introduction to mining, refining, drones and planetary harvesters in the galaxy, and it now rewards you in premium currency for learning the ropes. Swing by Starbase-51 and have a word with Jonas.
✨ Improvement
The galaxy can be a rough place, but your first few hours should not be. Captains below level 5 are now shielded from hostile encounters while mining and docking — no pirate shake downs or credit demands while you are still finding your feet. You will still get all the friendly, rewarding events (handy salvage finds, trade offers, the occasional windfall); the nasty ones simply hold off until you are better equipped to handle them. Reach level 5 and the full spread of encounters returns. Learn, earn and get established first — the danger will keep.
