🚀 Final Salvage Laser
The top-tier Crawler Salvage Laser is now craftable! It was previously the one salvage laser with no blueprint, leaving the line topping out at the Phased model — that gap has now been filled. A brand-new Crawler Salvage Laser Blueprint has been added to the Blueprint Store, and it builds the most powerful salvage tool in the game, stripping four times the materials from a wreck with every pull of the trigger.
This is a true end-game project: expect to provide Captain Level 45, a healthy manufacturing skill and a hoard of exotic materials to craft it, and you’ll need your Salvage skill all the way up at level 45 to fit it to your ship. One for the dedicated salvagers to set their sights on!
🚀 Corporation – Close Office
Corporation Directors can now close an office. A new option on each office in the Corporation panel’s sidebar lets the Director permanently shut down one of their corporation’s offices — handy for relocating, trimming monthly upkeep, or tidying up after expansion.
Closing an office stops its upkeep immediately, and any reactors or research units deployed there are automatically returned to the Corp Inventory, so nothing is lost. It’s deliberately hard to do by accident: only the Director can do it (not Executives), and they must type the office’s location name to confirm. A closed location can be reopened as an office again later for the usual first month’s upkeep.
🚀 Corporation – Manufacturing Live
Corporations can now manufacture! A major new addition lets your Corporation run its own production lines. Unlock manufacturing capacity in the Corporation’s Upgrades tab — each level adds +2 Corporation slots (up to a maximum of 10), so members can run several corp builds at once.
The best part: corporate manufacturing works from ANY existing Manufacturing Facility in the galaxy — there’s no special building to construct. Just dock at a facility, open the new Corporation tab, and get to work. Corporation builds pulls their materials straight from the Corporation Store (not your personal Commercial Storage), and finished items are delivered into the Corporation Inventory.
So the whole production cycle is shared by the corporation. Operatives and above can start a corp build (the slot rental is paid from the Corporation Bank), and Corporation production also earns your Corporation a little Corp XP.
🚀 Manufacturing Facility Change
We’ve also reworked the Manufacturing Facility screen to make this clearer. Your jobs now sit under proper tabs.
In Progress and Ready to Collect – Giving finished builds a dedicated home rather than mixing them in with active ones.
A new Corporation tab sits alongside them: switch to it and the In Progress / Ready to Collect tabs re-scope to your corporation’s builds, so collecting works the same way whether you’re producing for yourself or for the Corporation.
Finally, collecting finished Corporation builds is flexible — pick them up either from the Manufacturing Facility where they were built, or remotely from your Corporation Office’s Industrial screen, whichever is handier.
🔧 Bug Fix
Smoothed out a brief visual glitch when fully salvaging a Pirate Derelict. After stripping a derelict completely clean, leaving the combat zone could flash a small empty info panel on screen for a split second before it vanished. That stray flicker is now gone — picking the last scraps from a derelict and flying off is perfectly smooth.
✨ Improvement
The in-game Lexicon has been expanded with a full set of Corporations entries — thirteen new sections have been added, walking you through everything corporation-related, from what corporations are and how to form or join one through to their structure, facilities and day-to-day running. If you’ve been curious about Corporations, the Lexicon is now the place to get up to speed.
Did you know Forged Space has been working on a full set of illustrated, step-by-step guides on the web? The in-game Lexicon now has a prominent “📖 Full Illustrated Guides” link in its footer that opens guides.forgedspace.com in a new tab — picture-led walkthroughs to complement the Lexicon’s quick-reference entries. Handy whether you’re learning the ropes or digging into something new.
