Corporate Field Operations

Your corporation just gained a whole new way to earn. Corp Field Operations is a remote deployment system that lets a corporation send mining drones and harvesters out across the stars, gathering resources around the clock, without a single ship ever leaving dock. You run the entire operation from the Corp Office, and everything they collect flows straight into your Corp Store.

Unlock it with Research Points

Field Operations begins in the Corp Office Upgrades tab. Spend your corporation’s Research Points to open Corp Mining Drone Processing and Corp Harvester Processing. These are levelled unlocks. The opening level lets you deploy up to three units of that type at once, and each further level raises the limit, all the way up to ten. Drones and harvesters are tracked separately, so you can grow whichever side of your operation you lean on.

Build them, or support the game and buy them

There are two ways to fill your fleet.

Craft your own: The new Corp Planetary blueprint line can be built from your Corp Store using corporation manufacturing, or made by a member personally and donated to the corp. These are a genuine project, calling for rare refined ores and high grade industrial components, so a fully stocked field operation is something a corporation earns together. Crafted units wear down with use, and when one needs attention you simply withdraw it, take it to a repair centre, and redeposit it good as new.

Or pick up an indestructible Support unit: In the FSP Store you will find Support versions of every drone and harvester. They drop straight into your Corp Inventory, they never degrade, and they never need repair. It is a way to support the ongoing development of Forged Space while skipping the grind entirely, and getting a unit that will run forever.

Range: your reach grows with your corporation

Here is where it gets strategic. When you deploy, you are not limited to your home system. Every office reaches out a number of jumps into the galaxy, and that reach grows with your corporation’s level. A young corporation covers the systems close to home, while an established one can push its drones and harvesters far out into the surrounding region. The bigger your corporation grows, the further your operations spread.

Where you build your offices matters

Because reach is measured from each office, the placement of your Corp Offices becomes a real decision. An office planted in a busy hub system opens up a far wider spread of asteroid fields and planets to choose from. Set up in the right places and a corporation with several offices can blanket huge stretches of space. Smart expansion is rewarded, and a well positioned corporation will always have the richest choice of targets.

Harvesters lock onto the resource you choose

Deploying a harvester is a considered choice. Pick a planet within reach and you will see its type, whether it is an Ice world, a Gas giant, an Ocean world and so on, along with the four resources it offers and how much of each remains. Choose the one you want and your harvester locks onto it. Drones are more freewheeling, working an asteroid field for whatever ore it holds, with the higher tier units able to pull the rarer finds.

Keep an eye on the operation

A dedicated Active Units panel sits beside your Corp Office whenever you are in Field Operations. At a glance you can see every unit you have deployed, where it is, what it is working, and its running total gathered so far. Recall any unit at any time. If a harvester’s resource runs dry it is flagged clearly, and since planet resources replenish over time it will pick straight back up once the deposit recovers.

The bottom line

Corp Field Operations turns your corporation into a working industrial power. Unlock the capability with Research Points, choose whether to build your fleet or support the game and buy it, expand thoughtfully to widen your reach, and let your drones and harvesters keep the Corp Store filling while you get on with everything else. Organised, well placed corporations will feel the difference the most. Get out there and stake your claim.
