Following on from the Corporation Hangar, your corporation can now build its own starships. Once your corporation has opened its Hangar, a new Ship Yard upgrade unlocks in the Corporation panel under Upgrades.
The Hangar has to come first, since that is where your finished ships are delivered, so the Ship Yard stays locked until the Hangar is open. Purchase the Ship Yard upgrade and a Corporation tab appears on the Ship Yard screen at any shipyard in the galaxy, ready for your members to start building together.
Here is how a corporation build works. A member supplies one of their own starship blueprints, the materials are drawn straight from the Corporation Store, and the build fee is paid from the Corporation Bank. There is no need for everyone to pool blueprints or resources by hand, the yard quietly takes what it needs from the shared stores.
When construction finishes, the brand new hull is delivered directly into the Corporation Hangar at that shipyard. From there your leadership can assign it to a member, list it for sale to the corporation, or reclaim it, exactly as they can with any other ship in the fleet. So that nobody misses a delivery, every completed build sends an in-game message to your corporation’s Director and Executives, confirming who built the ship and where.
The Ship Yard upgrade comes in three levels, each one adding another build slot, so a busy corporation can keep several hulls under construction at the same time.
✨ Improvement
A small quality of life touch for your Ship Inventory. Until now the equipment tabs listed your gear in the order you happened to acquire it, which could look a little jumbled, and worse, items could quietly shuffle position after you fitted or repaired something. That is tidied up. Every tab now holds a consistent order, grouped by equipment type and then sorted alphabetically by name. Your weapons sit together, your reactors sit together, and the whole list keeps a steady, predictable order, so finding the piece you are after is much quicker.
A welcome convenience for every corporation member, not just the boss. Until now, only a corporation’s Director could reach the Corporation Office straight from the button on your main screen. Everyone else had to fly to one of the corporation’s offices in person before they could manage anything, even to carry out the simple everyday tasks their rank already allowed.
That changes today. As long as your corporation has an office standing somewhere in the galaxy, every member now carries that same quick access button on their screen, wherever they happen to be. One tap and the Corporation Office opens right up, with no travelling required. You will only ever see the tools your rank is entitled to use, exactly as you would if you had walked into the office yourself.
A Recruit sees what a Recruit may do, an Operative a little more, and your Executives and Director the full run of the place. Nothing about who can do what has changed, we have simply saved everyone a journey. Manage your stores, check the bank, or keep an eye on the corporation, all from wherever the work takes you.
