Repair Expanded from Ships to Items!
What can be repaired?
The Ship Yard Repair Office has now been given a big boost and you can now repair damaged equipment and ship Hull & Armour. The office handles two distinct repair lines:
- Ship — Hull and Armour integrity
- Items — fitted and spare equipment with damaged durability
Ship Repair (Hull & Armour)
Repair your hull or armour using one of two methods:
- Credits — fast and simple; deducted from your wallet
- Resources — Iron Ore, Titanium, and Argonight Ore from your Commercial Storage. Awards Engineering XP.
Item Repair
Only crafted items can be repaired — store-bought and loot gear cannot. Items appear here automatically once their durability drops below maximum.
The cost is paid in raw resources drawn from your Commercial Storage, based on the item’s blueprint:
- We take the top 3 primary ingredients from the blueprint
- Scaled by how much durability is missing (e.g. 50% damaged = 50% of the cost)
- Multiplied by a 0.6× repair factor — always cheaper than rebuilding
- A successful repair fully restores durability and awards Engineering XP
Repair Discount Upgrade (FSP Store)
Buy Repair Discount Upgrades from the FSP Store to permanently lower your repair costs:
- Each upgrade reduces costs by 5%
- Stack up to 15 upgrades for a maximum 75% discount
- The discount applies to both ship repair and item repair
- Your current discount is shown in the top-right of this panel
Tips
- Sort across the Items sub-tabs (Weapons, Reactors, Shields, etc.) to find damaged gear
- Fitted items show a green Fitted badge; everything else is a Spare
- The cost line goes red when you don’t have enough of an ingredient in the Commercial Storage
- Resource repair is the only way to earn Engineering XP from this office.
🔧 Bug Fix
- Top HUD polish: fixed the Captain HP label being hidden behind the Object Info Panel on wider displays, and balanced the icon spacing across all ship status bars for a tidier, symmetric look.
